We welcome riders of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced riders. We require one basic horsemanship lesson prior to hitting the trails to ensure the rider is matched with the best horse for their skill level. Long pants and closed toed shoes are required (jeans and cowboy boots are preferred!) We will provide helmets, water, horses, tack, etc.
Absolutely! Coggins are required for all horses entering the park. Experienced riders can trailer their own horses in and do not need to ride with a guide. There are day use passes and annual passes available for purchase at the park headquarters.
If you are interested in trail guide services while you and your horse get acquainted with the park, we would be happy to help in that role!
$125 for 1.5 hour - 2 hours (recommended to minimize soreness for folks who don't ride often)
$250 for half day
For the safety of the horse and rider, we limit rider weight limit 240lbs.
Riders need to have ability to listen, understand and follow instruction in order to stay safe on the trail. Typically, anyone from 8-80 is welcome depending on strength, flexibility and fitness level.
If you fall outside these limits, or if you are still a little unsure about hitting the trail, we are HAPPY to customize an experience for you to learn and participate with the horses!

Williamson County Parks and partners have done an exceptional job of making it fun and easy to navigate the park!
Yes, releases are required.
Williamson County requires a signed release for riding in the park. The release is completed online and is valid for one year from the date of the signature. Click here to access the Williamson County Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement.
Diamond A Equine requires that you review the Responsible Rider Code and complete the Diamond A Equine Participant Release Form. Click here to access the form. The Guides will provide you hard copy of the form. Forgive us, we are busy riding and will, eventually, have this as a fillable online form!
We should note that the State of Texas has made the following provision in the law:
